Honour Our Troops Gig Update

Apologies for the lack of updates recently. The real life occassionaly interferes with the band every now and again!

The first HOT Warm-Up Gig is being held in York on November 27th, and it looks like an amazing gig. The Invisible Idols are headlining, with our friends The Search Party travelling all the way up from the deep south west of England to support them. Also apprearing is solo vocalist Robert Glen.

Try and get along to The Junction in York and see the above gig - it'll be a great evening.

Unfortunately for us, Steve is currently working overseas - so we were unable to make this gig, but when he's back we will be headlining one of the southern gigs next year. Dates and venues will be announced as soon as we know them.

AZ to Headline an Honour Our Troops Warm-Up Gig

We've been asked to headline and help organise a warm up gig for Honour Our Troops

This will take place at a venue and date to be announced, but probably in the Aldershot area.

We are delighted and honoured to assist Mal and his team with this, and be associated with their worthy cause.

Further news as and when we get it.

FIB Result & Update

Well ... unfortunately we didn't make it to Round 2 ... and apparantly missed out by a gnat's gonad ! (some consolation I suppose!).

Out of 1600 bands, we finished 26th in the worldwide public vote !!! (the top 20 of the public vote and the top 20 selected by the SupaJam panel went through)

Obviously we're gutted ... especially as it was so damn close ... but life goes on ... and this has just inspired us to do it bigger and better !

Thanks so much again everyone for the messages of support.

We'd particularly like to say a massive thankyou to Kathy Pitt and her HOT Girls, Florajane Lynch, Billy Shears, The Green Monkey Band (aka The Paramedics from BBC1's 'Tonight's The Night') and Helen Parry, for going 'all-out' on our behalf to secure votes.

So this isn't the end for us in any way shape or form. Rob is writing new stuff as we speak, Tony is laying down new vocal lines and Steve & Simon are beavering away improving the back catalogue. As for me, I'm mainly doing the online stuff and throwing a drum stick in hopefully the right place as and when I see fit ! (often at Steve! lol)

Please ask all your friends to join our Facebook Group so we can increase the band's profile even more and next year we'll nail FIB !

FIB Comp Result

The results of the vote are in and unfortunately we didn't make the Top 40.

However, we'd like to thank each and everyone of you that voted, or sent us messages of support.

It meant a great deal to us and we really appreciated it.

We realise that there are people out there who do like our music, and this has made us determined to carry on, improve and continue doing what we love.

The band would like to wish the 40 groups left in the FIB Comp all the very best of luck, and we would also like to thank the guys at SupaJam for giving us the chance to particpate in the competition and reach out with our music to a much wider audience.

Thankyou again everyone.

FIB Voting Now CLOSED

Voting for the FIB Competition has now finished.

We are now eagerly awaiting tomorrow's announcement of which band's have made it into the Top 40.

There were 1600 entries in this competition !

The Top 40 will be derived from the Top 20 bands from the online public vote, and the Top 20 selected from the SupaJam panel.

The final Top 40 will have their tracks published and marketed on iTunes.

We would like to thank everyone that voted for us, all our support crew, friends and families, and although I don't like naming individuals for particular acclaim, a very special thankyou must be made to Kathy Pitt and Helen Parry for their fantastic assistance in promoting the cause and galvanising extra votes.

If we don't make the Top 40, we know we've given it our best shot so we can hold our heads up high, especially as many of the bands in the competition have massive fanbases and are gigging weekly.

Of course if we do make it to the Top 40, then we enter phase 2 of the voting ... which is where it gets manic ! That's where we will be grovelling for you to campaign 'outside the box' on our behalf !

Thankyou all once again from all of us in the band.

Stay tuned for the results announcement here tomorrow !
